The intuïtive – or automatic – paintings are most often made while traveling, integrating the atmosphere of a certain place, moment or person. Before drawing I don’t know what the outcome will be like, I let myself be surprised by the movement of my hand. In hindsight an interpretation can be ascribed to it, both by myself and by others.
